Why do I get FMMs when I purify my Ice application on Windows?

Purify needs debug information and executables linked with /FIXED:NO to operate properly. With debug info available and executables properly linked, Purify should not report any FMM, or any other memory error. In Ice releases earlier than 2.1.2, demos and tests were not linked with /FIXED:NO, so you need to edit the link settings to properly purify these programs; as of release 2.1.2, /FIXED:NO is set for debug builds.

Current Ice release builds do not include debug information, therefore you should either limit your purification to debug builds or make your own Ice release build with debug information.
